Budget 2025 Aligned • Sovereign Supply Chain
Securing North America's Critical Tungsten Capability.
PMIC is establishing a vertically integrated, domestic supply chain for high-performance tungsten components. Aligned with Canada's Defence Industrial Strategy and Critical Minerals Strategy, we process Canadian ore into precision parts for defence, aerospace, and energy sectors.
Core Capabilities
- Compaction: High-density green parts for sintering
- MIM: Complex geometries for ordnance & aerospace
- Refining: Future integration (Scheelite → Powder)
Phase 1: Manufacturing (Revenue)
Establishing immediate production capacity for Tungsten Carbide wear parts and high-density components. Sourcing high-grade powder to produce revenue-generating parts for the Energy & Defense sectors.
Commercial Operations
- 1Feedstock Sourcing (North American Supply)
- 2Axial Compaction of Wear Buttons
- 3Sintering & Finishing for Delivery
Focus: Generating cash flow via high-volume part production.
Phase 2: Capacity Scale-Up
Deploying industrial-scale automation to increase throughput. Leveraging revenue and federal incentives to expand press tonnage and sintering volume.
Production Growth
- Commissioning of additional 1600°C+ furnaces
- Automated robotic handling for presses
- Installation of dedicated MIM moulding cells
Outcome: A dominant domestic node for tungsten component manufacturing.
Phase 3: Vertical Integration
The long-term vision: Integrating domestic ore refining. As Canadian mines (e.g., Mactung Project) come online (~2030), PMIC will commission its chemical refining plant to process Scheelite concentrate directly.
Strategic Sourcing
- Commissioning of APT Refining Plant
- Direct off-take agreements with Canadian mines
- Full "Ore-to-Part" traceability for Defense
Ideal for: Securing the absolute lowest cost basis and supply security.
Strategic Funding Roadmap
Year 0-1: Manufacturing
Focus: Immediate Revenue & Part Production.
Funded via "Founding Partner" sales. Sourcing qualified powder to produce Tungsten Carbide inserts and weights.
- Sales Channel Activation
- Press & Sinter Operations
- Revenue Generation
Year 1-2: Expansion
Focus: Throughput & Automation.
Reinvesting revenue and utilizing Clean Tech ITCs to scale production capacity and reduce unit costs.
- Additional Press Capacity
- Automated Inspection
- Defense Qualification (MIM)
Year 3+: Integration
Focus: Vertical Refining (2030+).
As domestic mines (Mactung Project) come online, PMIC integrates upstream refining to capture full margin.
- APT Plant Commissioning
- Ore-to-Part Sovereignty
- Global Export
